As the impact of coronavirus touches every corner of the globe, BP stands ready to help communities.  In response to the current crisis, BP Turkey is donating free fuel to Ministry of Health Istanbul Directorate ambulances to support their life-saving work during the month of April.

BP Turkey Head of Country Joe Murphy said: “This is a time of unprecedented challenge when companies and communities should work together in response to the impact of coronavirus. We are thankful to all healthcare workers for their extraordinary efforts and we   want to make a small contribution here in Turkey by providing fuel free of charge to Istanbul’s state ambulances in April.”

“For BP Turkey, our priority remains the safety and health of our staff and communities. We continue to monitor the latest developments in these evolving circumstances and are taking all the necessary measures as advised by the Turkish Health Ministry and World Health Organization.”

BP has also launched a similar initiative in the UK, providing free fuel to emergency services vehicles, while the BP Foundation has donated $2 million to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The fund provides medical supplies and critical aid worldwide.
