Programme overview

This is a two-year programme with full-time commitment and great progression opportunities into bp retail in Australia.

Kick-start your career (year one)

During your first 12 months as a retail trainee, you will be working full-time in store as a customer service representative (CSR). You will gain on-the-job experience interacting with customers in your community, whilst being provided paid study leave for your Certificate III in Retail.

As a CSR in bp, you’ll play a vital role in the success of our operations. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to balance a variety of tasks and responsibilities. This could include serving wildbean cafe barista coffee and delicious food to our customers, promoting products and loyalty programmes and conducting stock checks. All of this would be done while maintaining an inclusive, clean and safe work area for everyone.

Retail management training (year two)

Following successful completion of your Certificate III in Retail you will be considered for a store leadership position while completing Certificate IV in Retail Management.

You'll build capability to lead our frontline teams into the future, coaching CSRs, and developing skills to enhance the retail productivity and commercial management of your store.

After the programme

You will finish the programme with an ongoing permanent role, two certificates in Retail and the real-world skills required to be a leader in the retail industry.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to grow into a range of roles within bp across Australia and New Zealand. The possibilities are endless.

Please note: This programme is a pilot and will be running in selected states in Australia (QLD, NSW, WA) only.
